Taiwan was a pleasant surprise. When we originally went backpacking it was never on our list. However, it came to our attention that gay marriage was legalized the year we were there making it the first Asian country to do so. There was a gay pride celebration coming up so we flew there just in time.

We spent a little over two weeks here and were surprised at all it had to offer. Hiking, culinary delicacies, beaches, and beautiful temples Taiwan really had it all.
